The Mouliné Light Effect embroidery threads are perfect for adding metallic highlights, light, and texture to your creations. Like the Mouliné Stranded thread, each 8m skein is made up of 6 divisible strands and can be used for any type of embroidery.
The term "mouliné" refers to how this thread is produced. It comes from the French verb "mouliner" which means "to twist." Thus, the Mouliné thread is made up of several strands of twisted cotton, giving it its texture and strength.
Its colors are inspired by the brilliance of metals, gemstones, mother-of-pearl, and even fluorescent hues.
For optimal use, we recommend embroidering with a maximum thread length of 30cm, with a short needle. Use it alone or combine it with Mouliné Stranded thread or Satin Mouliné for even more brightness and depth!
